ALOHA BIRTHDAYS!

My first Dual-Cake, a friend of a friend requested a birthday cake that celebrated her Aunt AND her Uncle! Our original concept was a geometric design with two different color schemes in order to differentiate the Aunt's from the Uncle's side.  But then Herandi came up with her idea for a Tropical Luau Theme! It was a perfect fit, I incorporated Vibrant Flowers, a Pineapple & some Leafy Palm Leaves on her Aunt's side.  And then created a Ukulele, Tiki Poles, a Totem Man and a Surf Board to represent her Uncle's side! I also chose to keep part of the original geometric design with the corresponding color schemes and I think it added the perfect touch to the cake! On top, I hand cut letters from black fondant spelling out 'Happy Birthday' &the dark on top of the golden yellow 'paint streaked' base had a fantastic *POP* that i was looking for! Couldnt't be more thrilled with how this turned out!

PRINCESS DINET!

For Dinet's 8th Birthday, her older sister Malleli requested a special cake in celebration of her big day!  Her only instructions were; PINK & PRINCESS. I could definitely work with that!! I spent a while going through different ideas until finally everything pieced together and I designed a TOTAL PINK Princess Cake!! The white fondant base was sprayed with edible vanilla pearl shimmer giving it the perfect subtle sparkle.  Hand painted Hot Pink letters spelling out 'Princess Dinet' along the front, &hand made pink Ombre Ruffles cascading across and down the back of the cake!{So excited because I just learned how to do them!!} Adorned with a hand painted golden yellow flower and a Hot Pink &White polka-dotted crown on top; fit for a princess! Oh but wait my favorite part, The inside of the cake was four adorable layers of different shades of pink!! So proud of all the design &work that went into this cake and that Malleli, her family and most importantly the birthday girl all LOVED it!!

HELLO KITTY

A Cartoon Icon, Hello Kitty was the request for a friends cake recently.  They didnt want anything specific in particular so I had Free Reign on this one! Actually got my inspiration from a Hello Kitty Laptop Case of all things! [hey, work comes in handy for something right??] &started my designs for a small &simple 6 inch cake! A bright Bubblegum Pink was an absolute must, serving as the backdrop for a hand made Hello Kitty face, handmade 3D bow and some Golden Yellow Cricut Cut flowers and White 'hello kitty' lettering.
